Brazilian by birth and American by choice, Kelly Fontoura has lived in New York City since 1999 – the year she arrived in the country as an immigrant to start a new life. Graduated in Liberal Arts, she has worked as an English Teacher, Translator, Interpreter and Paralegal before establishing herself as a leading Immigration Consultant.
She followed the same path as many immigrants who arrived in the United States in search of opportunities and legalized himself through the EB-3 process in the professional category through the law firm Martin C Liu & Associates, where he was happy to start his journey in this field working between the years 2007 and 2017.
Later, she worked for Epstein Becker & Green, further consolidating her knowledge in Green Card processes for work, a branch in which she stands out today due to her experience and daily interaction with immigrants, especially those who have recently arrived in the United States.
After all these years working with immigrants, especially with the Brazilian community, and for understanding this work as her mission in life, she felt the need to centralize in one place the different types of services that are essential for those who decide to live far from their homeland. With that in mind, the Imigra Foundation emerged as a way to facilitate the integration of newly arrived immigrants who seek guidance, information, education and the application of immigration processes, with a main focus on EB-3.
For her, successful integration builds communities that are economically stronger and more socially and culturally inclusive, which is one of the central pillars that foster the work of the Imigra Foundation.
