Born in Brazil, but American by choice, Kelly Fontoura has lived in the city of New York since 1999 — when she arrived in the country as an immigrant to start a new life. She graduated in Liberal Arts, and has worked as an English Teacher, a Translator, an Interpreter and a Paralegal until she got established as a reference Immigration Consultant.

She took the same path of many immigrants that arrive in the United States searching for opportunities, and got her legal status through the EB-3 process in the Martin C Liu & Associates law firm, where she was able to start her journey in this field between 2007 and 2017.

Later, she worked for Epstein Becker & Green, consolidating even more her knowledge in Green Card processes through work, a branch in which she excels due to her experience and daily interaction with immigrants, mainly the ones that have recently arrived in the United States.

After all those years working with immigrants, especially with the Brazilian community, and since she understands this job as her life mission, Kelly has felt the need to centralize in one place all the different kinds of services that are essential to those who decide to live away from their mother land. By having this in mind, the Imigra Foundation was created as a way of facilitating the integration of immigrants who have recently arrived and search for orientation, information, education, and the application for immigration processes, with main focus in the EB-3.

For Kelly, the successful integration builds communities that are economically stronger and socially and culturally more inclusive, which is one of the central pillars that encourage the work of Imigra Foundation.
